Meet Micah
Micah Crews is a husband, father, leader, educator, administrator, published author, produced playwright, theatre director, and passionate lover of Jesus Christ. Micah has worked in higher education for 20 years. He has served in local church leadership since 2012 as an elder, as a volunteer worker with the “Wee People” church ministry focused on providing solid Biblical teaching to the one to three-year-old age group, and as the leader of the Acting Up ministry team, which included original productions of What I’m Looking For – An Easter Musical and The Promise of Christmas. He has taught business management and communication at the college level. Micah received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Fine Arts: Theatre and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in New Venture Creation completing both degrees at King University in Bristol, Tennessee. Micah is happily married to Amy. They live in Virginia with their two children (who passionately pursue the martial arts and ballet), three fish, and one cat.
Micah started telling stories and sharing the Gospel when he was little. From making up plays to perform in the living room to creating original worlds of imagination, from exploring the Bible to preaching the Gospel, Micah Crews balances both the creative and the sacred. Micah brings experience in leadership and management combined with a creative sensibility to his writing. Practical and playful in turn, Micah uses story and research to flesh out the worlds that he creates.
